CONTINUOUS INVESTMENT

STABLE RESILIENCE
VERTICAL INTEGRATION OF MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

With manufacturing at the heart of the business, and led by an experienced and skilled engineering department, there has been continuous investment to strengthen Thermex’s production capabilities, contributing to our sustained and stable growth.

Vertical integration of manufacturing processes guarantees improved control of quality and consistency, allowing greater flexibility and scope to respond to customers’ demands for cost-effective process flows and shorter lead times with reduced transit costs.

Consistently demonstrating ingenuity and resilience providing thermal solutions to a diverse global customer base, our extensive in-house production facilities include world-class automated CNC machinery with 4 axis machining and sophisticated pallet change capabilities. This enables efficient production of high-spec, bespoke, precision machined parts and tooling from a wide variety of materials including aluminium, copper, cast iron, naval brass, gun metal, carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium.

Constant progressive upskilling and training programmes also builds a resilient workforce and workplace, enabling Thermex to provide a highly developed and versatile service perfected over 45 years of engineering excellence.

Primarily utilised for rapid prototype validation of design concepts, Thermex’s extensive use of 3D additive printers allows streamlined integration into CNC production processes. Utilising a full range of plastics and composite materials, our design engineers can explore innovative design solutions faster and more economically, reducing MOQ constraints for bespoke or low volume production requirements.

Seen as an integral part of the production process and driven by quality, Thermex’s assembly department are an experienced team with extensive detailed product knowledge. We provide value added engineering assembly with an agile, efficient and flexible approach to customers’ needs.

FMEA – Failure, Mode, & Effects Analysis

“A proactive, qualitative & systematic approach to mitigate failure & ensure reliability”

As a fundamental part of Thermex’s risk management strategy, we adopt Failure, Mode, Effect, Analysis (FMEA) protocol during all design and development stages. A critical step-by-step approach to route cause analysis which effectively identifies and eliminates all potential points of failure during product design, manufacturing, assembly and service delivery processes.

AGILE COLLABORATION

VALIDATED DESIGN
COMPLETE DESIGN & ENGINEERING SUPPORT

Adding value through innovative design solutions and manufacturing expertise, Thermex specialises in temperature engineering. Adopting an agile collaborative approach, our team of experienced engineers work closely with OEMs developing a strategic partnership and becoming an integral part of the production process.

All Thermex heat exchangers are designed as being category SEP under PED 2014/68/EU and manufactured in accordance with TEMA guidelines.

Utilising custom configurator software for optimal design solutions and structured project management processes (APQP) ensures a meticulous decision-making process which identifies the most efficient and cost-effective solution.

Further mechanical and structural designs are validated using PTC Creo Design Software with Finite Element Analysis - a comprehensive 3D CAD system incorporating industry leading direct modelling software.

REGULATORY & LEGISLATIVE COMPLIANCE

CREDIBILITY, CONFIDENCE & TRUST
QUALITY THAT GUARANTEES SAFETY & PERFORMANCE

An integral part to all aspects of the business, and our commitment to regulatory and legislative compliance, Thermex works in partnership with Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), to meet key objectives outlined within our quality management system in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001: 2015.

This ensures continuous improvement in performance and customer satisfaction, and instills credibility, confidence and trust in the supply chain. Providing assurance our products guarantee our global customer base meet their quality and legal obligations.

Under the guidance of the LRQA auditing authority, we also employ ISO 14001: 2015 methodology to systematically manage our environmental responsibilities covering waste reduction, efficient use of raw materials, recycling strategies and energy consumption.
