Adopting an agile collaborative approach, our team of experienced engineers work closely with OEMs developing a strategic partnership and becoming an integral part of the production process.
We provide complete design and engineering support for bespoke thermal transfer products, combining in-house consultative design, rapid prototype validation and extensive manufacturing capabilities.
Responding to customer specific requirements, our design engineers consider complex interactions of various disciplines such as thermal dynamics, metallurgy, pressure boundary calculations and structural analysis concurrently, as well as multidisciplined manufacturing processes. All of which are undertaken in conjunction with stringent legislative constraints.
All Thermex heat exchangers are designed as being category SEP under PED 2014/68/EU and manufactured in accordance with TEMA guidelines.
Utilising custom configurator software for optimal design solutions and structured project management processes (APQP) ensures a meticulous decision-making process which identifies the most efficient and cost-effective solution.
Further mechanical and structural designs are validated using PTC Creo Design Software with Finite Element Analysis - a comprehensive 3D CAD design system incorporating industry leading direct modelling software. This allows analysis, modelling and validation, enabling us to satisfy increasingly complex design constraints, combining a flexible product design process with shorter lead times.

As a fundamental part of Thermex’s risk management strategy, we adopt Failure, Mode, Effect, Analysis (FMEA) protocol during all design and development stages. A critical step-by-step approach to route cause analysis which effectively identifies and eliminates all potential points of failure during product design, manufacturing, assembly and service delivery processes.
